We want to make the daunting process of quitting smoking more attainable.
Kind Consumer was founded in 2006 by Alex Hearn. Alex was instrumental in founding Oxford Entrepreneurs, the society for student entrepreneurs at Oxford University which he launched in 2003. Oxford Entrepreneurs has been featured by the UK Department of Trade and Industry as one of the top three organisations promoting entrepreneurship/innovation in the country.
Voke was Alex’s brainchild, he was worried about the long-term effects that tobacco dependency would have on the health of his friends and relatives. He began looking for an alternative to smoking, a product that looked and felt like a cigarette. It is the burning of tobacco in cigarettes that causes harm, so no heat or burn technology became central to Alex’s idea.
Alex used asthma inhaler technology as a starting point to create Voke, a product that replicates many of the rituals of smoking.
After years of further crafting, development and testing, Kind Consumer has now launched the Voke nicotine inhaler for smokers who want to reduce, replace or stop smoking altogether.
Voke. We won’t quit until you do.
